Hidden lines are removed and visible surfaces are shaded. Only visible faces will highlight when the cursor moves over them. Press and hold the (Alt) key to highlight and select faces that are hidden from view.
Wireframe Display Mode
All curve, surface, and solid edges are displayed and viewed directly. Advantages: increased display performance and all features can be viewed. Disadvantages: displays can be confusing disorienting to the user.
Hidden Line Display Mode
All hidden lines and only edges are displayed. Like shaded mode, only visible faces will highlight when the cursor moves over them. Again, press and hold the (Alt) key to highlight and select faces that are hidden from view.
Analyze Display Mode
All part surfaces are displayed in "Contour Striping" mode. This is the same mode used by the Inquire Face Analyze command. This mode performs a spherical environment map of texture that consists of lines that are either horizontal, vertical or in both directions. This is reflected onto the surfaces such that you can determine characteristics of the surface depending on the visible results of the reflection.
Combination Display Mode
This display mode is used for assemblies when you want to display components in different display modes. For example, one component can be set to
Wireframe mode while the remaining components are set to
Shaded mode. This can help enhance the display of certain assembly conditions and/or configurations. By setting one component to Wireframe mode, you could then "see through" it and view another more important component or condition.
Section Display Mode
The part is displayed based on the options selected during the Part Section View command. The section view display will be maintained as the part is visually manipulated (panned, zoomed or rotated) and modified.
