In this Article:
Part Views
You can display your part or assembly in one of many standard or user aligned views. Each is described in the table below. Some of these commands are available from the Toolbar while others are selected from the View Menu. These commands are not logged as undo/redo events.
Auxiliary View (Ctrl+U)
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar (Ctrl+U)
Displays the default auxiliary view.
Isometric View (Ctrl+I)
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar (Ctrl+I)
Displays a view of the part that is isometric. It is recommended that you use the Auxiliary View while in shaded display mode to enhance color contrast.
Top View (Ctrl+Up Arrow)
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar (Ctrl+Up Arrow)
Displays a view that is parallel to the top of the part looking in the direction of the negative world Z axis.
Front View (Ctrl+Down Arrow)
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar (Ctrl+Down Arrow)
Displays a view that is parallel to the front of the part looking in the direction of the positive world Y axis.
Right View (Ctrl+Right Arrow)
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar (Ctrl+Right Arrow)
Displays a view that is parallel to the right side of the part looking in the direction of the negative world X axis.
Bottom View
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar
Displays a view that is parallel to the bottom of the part looking in the direction of the positive world Z axis.
Left View
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar
Displays a view that is parallel to the left side of the part looking in the direction of the positive world X axis.
Back View
View > Standard Views
Document Aware Toolbar
Displays a view that is parallel to the back of the part looking in the direction of the negative world Y axis.
Align with Plane(CAM Level)
View
Displays a view aligned with a datum plane or planar face. This command is similar to the
Sketch Plane View command (see below) but allows you to select the plane to align with. Select a plane and then use this command to aline view with it.
Auto Align the View (Ctrl+Home)
View
Use this command to get the closest view to aline with. Alternately select a datum plane or planar face and then use this command to alian with.
Align View with Direction
View
Displays a view aligned with a reference point and two directions indicating the origin, "up" (Y axis) and "right" (Z axis). This command is similar to the
Align View with Plane
command above without the need to select a reference plane.
Sketch Plane View (Ctrl+Up Arrow)
Document Awared Toolbar (Ctrl+Up Arrow)
Display the active sketch plane. It is useful for moving between views while editing a sketch and then returning to the active sketch plane.
